Charles Wecker

Charles Wecker’s music is an intimate conversation across Roots, Folk, and Americana music sung and played on mandolin and guitar. His songwriting and musicianship draws on over 20 years of experience performing, playing, writing, and educating featuring deft guitar work and original melodies. Bryant Liggett in the Durango Herald says “He’s a storyteller who straddles a fence with musician on one side, poet on the other.”

Woods grew up in New Orleans, raised by his grandfather Lloyd Lambert. Woods performed with the gospel choirs the Zion Harmonizers and Raymond Miles aged 12. He went on to learn about life as a musician on the road as a young teenager touring with his grandfather, Luscious Lloyd Lambert, bandleader to Ray CharlesLittle RichardDanny BarkerDoc Cheatham and Guitar Slim.
