Paonia Cherry Days Royalty is a cherished tradition in the close-knit community of Paonia, Colorado. Each year during the Cherry Days festival in July, a King and Queen are crowned to represent the spirit of the town and its agricultural heritage. Selected through a process of showcasing leadership and community involvement, the royal couple serves as ambassadors throughout the festivities.

The King and Queen take on various roles, from leading parades to promoting local businesses and cherries. Beyond their ceremonial duties, they embody the pride and unity of Paonia, fostering connections within the community. For participants, being crowned royalty is not just an honor but a transformative experience, creating lasting memories and friendships while leaving a positive impact on their town.
