Downtown Day

Downtown Day

Downtown Day is a Paonia tradition where local businesses can display their goods and showcase their services. There will be plenty of opportunities to grab lunch or a tasty treat.

Don’t miss the barbecue outside First Colorado National Bank. This is a fundraiser for the North Fork Miners Volleyball team, and there is always a bevy of delicious goods to choose from.

Parking for Downtown Day will be open in the lot behind Don’s Market as well as the lot behind Paonia Town Hall off of Main Street.

Food

The Simple Cafe, Rio Bravo, and Nido are all great places to grab a bite downtown (or just outside of town) between browsing the other shops. Just west of town on 3rd Street, Berg Harvest Mercantile offers a variety of sandwiches, burgers and pizza. For dessert, try some fresh homemade fudge, ice cream, slushies and more. Make time to take a stroll through the extensive antique tractor display while you’re there.

The Learning Council’s TLC Kitchen will be serving up ice cream on the corner of Grand and 2nd Street. Indigo Autumn offers a variety of organic produce and healthy snacks to munch on throughout the weekend.

Just off of Grand Avenue on 2nd Street, Dependable Lumber is hosting their Customer Appreciation with free hotdogs (while supplies last) and door prizes!

Book Sale

The Friends of the Paonia Library will host the Cherry Days Book Sale on Saturday, July 1 and Monday, June 3 from 9 am to 3 pm at the Paonia Public Library. All proceeds benefit the library.

Shopping

Be sure to check out The Cirque Boutique and Refinery in the newly remodeled Kennedy Building (formerly Hays Drugstore.) Nest, across the street, also offers a boutique shopping experience. You’re sure to find a treasure or two
at Farm & Home Supply, or stop by Paonia Books to find a new adventure to read.

Galleries Galore

Be sure to take advantage of the host of galleries located in downtown Paonia. An eclectic offering of art is on display at galleries like the Cirque, Grapevine, Blue Sage and more. Collections include works from local artists and pieces procured from around the world await on Grand Ave., side streets and back alleys alike.

Spend the day in Paonia and see what the local merchants and artists have to offer. It’s a great way to support local businesses, browse local art at the downtown galleries and enjoy some great live music with friends and neighbors.
