Olivia Edstrom

2025 Cherry Days Queen Candidate

Olivia is the daughter of Sven and Elsie Edstrom.

Her AP English instructor says that Olivia “embodies many exceptional qualities,’ and that, along with witnessing her dedication to her academic pursuits and extracurricular activities, she has watched her grow into a unique individual who “models the qualities of leadership, resilience, and a commitment to excellence.”

Olivia participated in state competitions in the Future Business Leaders of America for several years running, served on the student council for three years, and was a Miner Mentor, where she helped 8th graders make the transition to high school.

Community service has always been important to Olivia, who has logged 30 hours per year on the junior ski patrol, 40 hours per year as a student organizer, and 60 hours per year performing trail work.

Her athletic achievements include mountain biking and climbing. Olivia raced all four years of high school with the Colorado Mountain Bike League through Montrose High School. She also competed on the climbing team from freshman to senior years and climbed independently at competitions all over Western Colorado through the American Scholastic Climbing League.

Through her own recovery by way of the talents of a physical therapist, Olivia has decided to pursue a career in physical therapy. While she knows it will be challenging, she is no stranger to a challenge and is ready to meet it head-on.
