2026 Cherry Days Queen Candidate

Jaylen Monroy-Mendoza, daughter of Carlos Monroy and Cinthia Mendoza, is a 2026 graduate of North Fork High School who has distinguished herself through academic achievement, leadership, athletics, and service. Graduating 12th in her class with a 3.77 GPA, Jaylen has built a strong foundation for her future career in healthcare.

This fall, she plans to attendĀ Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her interest in healthcare grew through hands-on experience in the Medical Assisting program at the Technical College of the Rockies, where working directly with patients helped her discover a passion for caring for others and confirmed her goal of becoming a registered nurse.

During high school, Jaylen was a three-year athlete in basketball and tennis, played volleyball for two years, managed football for one season, and participated in both FBLA and FFA. She also served as Executive Student Council Secretary for four years and was a two-year member of the National Honor Society.

Known for her dependability, kindness, and positive attitude, Jaylen has earned the respect of teachers, employers, and peers alike. Her gentle spirit, strong work ethic, and commitment to helping others make her an outstanding representative of the North Fork Valley community.
